Botulinum Type A Training

About Botulinum Toxin

Having Botulinum Toxin injections to regain a more youthful appearance is now as widely accepted as going to the hairdressers.

Botulinum Toxin is injected into the facial muscles in minute quantities, relaxes the muscles and effectively improves the appearance of wrinkles that are caused by the movement of these muscles. The procedure is painless and takes about 10 minutes.

The treated muscles weaken over the following week or so. Most people do not notice anything but become aware that they are no longer able to contract the frown muscles. Botulinum Toxin injections need to be repeated every few months, as the Botulinum Toxin is broken down by the body.

Botulinum Toxin is used for dynamic wrinkles or “wrinkles in motion." The other types of wrinkles are static wrinkles or "wrinkles at rest," these are filled with Hyaluronic acid fillers. You will also look at the combination of Dermal Fillers and Botulinum Toxin to produce are better outcome.

This is a foundation course for new users of Botulinum Toxin in facial aesthetics, designed to help you get started on the most common areas of treatment.
