About Custom Peeling

Custom peeling involves the application of a peeling solution to the skin for rejuvenation and improvement the texture of skin.

We have advanced a long way since the introduction of Glycolic acid over a decade ago, now various peeling agents are used to produce the effects, each different peeling agent has its own unique properties and benefits for certain skin problems.

Peels result in collagen remodelling and resurfacing of the skin revealing a fresh smooth “new skin” The Custom Peel can be applied to the face and body areas such as the back, hands, chest.

The approach to peeling skin now includes preparatory and post-treatment dermaceutical topical therapy to maintain results and prevent further problems.

It is important that the practitioners understands the active agents that work as dermaceutical preparations, the course includes how to recommend skin care prescriptions.

The Treatment
An average course of peels is 6, once a fortnight. Unlike TCA clients experience little downtime and can enjoy a maintenance peel every few months, it takes about 30mins to perform.

3. Identify clients who have contraindications and   

   exclude them from treatment.
4. Identify skin types suitable for treatment
5. Discuss different skin problems and solutions.
6. Demonstrate knowledge of the MediDerma peel

   formulas
7. Conduct a medical history and demonstrate a full

   client consultation and assessment. Including

   obtaining informed consent, explain pre & post

   treatment instructions.
8. Perform a full skin analysis and identify problems

    suitable for treatment and areas to avoid treatment.
9. Demonstrate safe preparation of the skin and

    application of products
10. Practice a Custom Peel treatment
