Hyperpigmentation Problems

Skin Bleaching, Hyperpigmentation

Melasma
Chloasma, or melasma, appears as a blotchy, brownish pigmentation on the face that develops slowly. Melasma occurs frequently during pregnancy and is more common in dark skins than in fair skins. Melasma is often called "the mask of pregnancy", it is more pronounced during the summer months as a result of sun exposure.

Freckles

Freckles are small flat brown marks arising on the face and other sun exposed areas. They are most often seen in fair skinned people, especially those with red hair, but they are an inherited characteristic that sometimes affects darker skin types as well. Freckles respond well to 2-3% kojic acid.

Lentigines
Age spots or liver spots are flat brown-black spots that usually occur in sun-exposed areas of the body. Though age spots are very common in adults older than age 40, they can affect younger people as well.

Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Or PIH, is discoloration of the skin that follows an inflammatory wound. PIH is very common among acne sufferers. It can occur in all skin types, although it is more common in darker skin tones.

Solar keratoses
Solar keratoses or sun stains are spots with different colors, frequently brownish or reddish, whose surface is rugged and scaly, looking crusty or bark.
They appear in old people on the bald area of the scalp, face, ears and back of the hands. As a rule, they are located on the areas more exposed to the sun. The cause is the extended and repeated sun-exposure, and because of this, they affect people spending many hours outdoors, such as farmers, sportsmen, fishermen, etc. Very white people are particularly sensitive to develop them, because they tolerate the sun very badly.

Ingredients used for hyperpigmentation:

Kojic acid

Kojic acid has a similar effect as hydroquinone. Studies have shown that Kojic acid is very effective as a skin lightening agent, inhibiting production of melanin brown pigment.

Lactic acid

Lactic Acid is an alpha hydroxy acid has been shown to have lightening properties especially on melasma. It is also shown to be safe on darker skin sensitive skin.

Citric

Citric Acid to be effective lightning agent that inhibits the production of melanin.

Glycolic acid

alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) can has a shedding effect on the top layer of skin, to help exfoliate the pigmented skin cells. By doing this it speeds skin turnover and pigment is lost more quickly.

Willowherb

Bioactive flavonoid with astringent, emollient and soothing properties. Effective in reducing redness and inflammation the skin.

Bearberry extract

A natural, highly-effective plant-based skin bleaching ingredient that helps retard excessive melanin production without irritation. Contains a natural hydroquinone

Ascorbic Acid

Vitamin C as Ascorbyl form has been tested extensively and reported in journal of American Academy of Dermatology to inhibit the production of the melanin, when Vitamin C inhibits the production of the melanin, a lighter and brighter skin can be revealed.

Alpha-Arbutine

Vegetable derivative of hydroquinone, 10 times more powerful than L-arbutine. Inhibits melanin production

Salicylic acid

promotes cell turnover to reduce the appearance of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation scars brought on by acne.
